The Bird’s Nest Walk

You are looking up at a bird’s nest on top of a high tree.
Your eyes have been completely captivated by the nest.

You are aware of the size and color of the nest,
the color of the chicks inside the nest,
the shapes of their beaks and their chirping.

You have birdlime in your right hand.
You are silently approaching the nest
so that the birds do not become alarmed.
You are walking as if you are totally obsessed with the nest.

Slowly, the nest comes flying into your eyes
which have been staring at it.
The nest is melting into the air
and finally becomes fragmented in mid-air.
